Family Law
Additional Practice Areas
Cuddy McCarthy’s family attorneys offer almost 80 years of collective knowledge in family law. We approach family law cases with the skill and knowledge to assist families in emotionally and financially challenging times with the goal of strong advocacy, a gentle touch, and the commitment to do as little harm as possible. We know that this approach is best for families, and especially for children. We offer a full range of legal family law services, including consultation, mediation, dispute resolution, conventional litigation, and “Collaborative Divorce.” Collaborative Divorce is an out of court dispute resolution model that replaces litigation, rooted in conflict with winners and losers, with a cooperative, needs-based process that gives families control of the process and outcome, which is not available in traditional divorce models.
The goal of Collaborative Divorce is to help divorcing and separating couples to focus on their most important goals, especially children, throughout the divorce process. The end result is a more efficient, private, targeted, and productive way to resolve divorces.
We routinely help our clients with:
- Adoptions (grandchild and stepchild)
- Appeals (Family Law)
- Asset Division & Evaluation
- Child Custody and Timeshare
- Child Support
